This last fawkin winter was a bitch up here. And it lasted forever. We were still riding the sleds at the end of April.

This was April 27th. We rode again May 1 just to say we did.

But it didn't warm up, melt and snow again. Snow stayed on the ground and piled up. Now we get snow then it melts the it rains then It snows then it rains.

wrong there too, i think this last year set a record for longest period of snow covered ground too, i wanna say it was around 90 days.

there were 3 recent winters that stomped anything in the 70s in several different ways. the winter before last was pathetic, but most of our winters have been pretty good lately

My guess is you weren't around in the late '70s? All I remember is that we couldn't leave our side door (just outside Ann Arbor) because the snow was piled up 3/4 of the way (about 5 feet I would guess). I personally haven't seen that accumulation of snow in Ann Arbor since.

Exactly one storm dumped enough snow here in Kalamazoo county to almost completely bury my dad's 3/4 ton F-250 . All you could see was the top of his towing mirrors up. Schools were shut down for 2 weeks police were broadcasting for people with snowmobiles to please travel on the roads to go to neighbors and see if they needed groceries or medical supplies. I will have to look for some pics we have but I can tell you we haven't had anything close to that since. We climbed up onto our garage roof and jumped into the snowdrift that was just about 1 1/2 feet below the peak of the garage roof. The blizzard of 1967 was a real doozey as well. Down here in Kzoo county our winters were much worse in the 60's and 70's than they are now . I don't care what statistics show I lived through it. Like said above it snowed around Thanksgiving and stayed covered with snow until around Easter.

I'm not wrong I'm not quoting records , I stating where I have lived what I have seen.
And I can remember the 60's too.
You

"records" are usually slanted to promote an agenda. It's like,
"CBS the most watch station", well since I only get 2 it is on the most.

If you Guys do have a bad winter over there just think of me moving roughly 12" of snow to your 3". VT winters absolutly blow ass, the redic snowfall and accumulation isnt that bad but its so cold you dont even want to go out. Oh and winter is oct-may here, well at least it's cold and snowy for that whole time anyways.
Basically, dont bich. Lols
