Default Grabbed a hawk, got free tint

I helped my Aunt trap a very young Red Tail Hawk, and now she is going to tint my truck for free!

It was a very young bird. Wouldn't fly or anything. She and her husband were to afraid to grab it and put it in a cage, so she called for my help. After walking up behind it and throwing a blanket it over it, I got grabbed it and got it in a box. No fight or nothing. Very pretty bird IMO. She took it to a friend of hers that deals with helping animals.

Yea I know, cool story bro. I thought it was pretty cool though

Probably broke at least 1 law unless she is DNR...

"Non-game birds (Hawks, Owls, Robins, Warblers, etc.)
Cannot be picked-up or possessed except under federal and state permit for scientific/educational purposes. "

So hopefully this 'friend' has the proper permits or contacts the DNR so the hawk is cared for properly.

I see I posted after your comment . . .

Yes, DNR was contacted. I know the bird is protected under the MBTA. I can't say it was picked up for scientific/educational purposes though. It was picked up for the well being and safety of the animal. Last thing I want to do is break the law when it involves the DNR.

I once grabbed a cock and then needed a splint.
