iTunes is the only way to music on that thing...FYI, I love my iPod and iTunes isn't that bad anymore...early version used to lock up my computer but not anymore. When you come home next time bring a flash drive and ill give you my whole library, it has to be done with a flash drive as its the only way to swap music between iTunes

Yes. I don't even use Itunes for the music I have on my Iphone. There are quite a few ways to transfer music onto an Ipod without itunes. I can't remember what exactly I did at the moment.

Putting music on the first time wont be so bad. Its when your laptop dies and /or the source of your mp3s changes even in a subtle way then iTunes politely deletes all your goodies because iTunes is a piece of shit.

I will bring a flash drive, but once again, you are Mr.Rong.

I was slightly afraid that since it was a used I pod, I might have some issues with transferring music onto it. I ran into some issues like that once with my son's, but it was too far back to remember the details.

Kerry has a nano as well. I hate adding music to that thing to the point I haven't done it in like 2 years.

All of my music at the time was stored on an external drive. I found that Itunes wasn't happy if the drive letter for that drive ever changed. If the drive letter changed it would re-import every single song, creating multiple, identical references for the same song and only one of which would work. I suppose if you had your shit legit through the Itunes store it would probably be less of an issue.

I've used CTM for a while. I can drag and drop to my iphone through the wifi, I never even plug it in. It upgrades to the cloud nightly, and I can manage my music over the wifi.

Haven't plugged in my phone to itunes since release day.

When had an ipod I always just opened both my music folder and Itunes and click and dragged the files into the ipod. It was an easy way to manually control what went in it.
