Actually it was all of us, you, me, Jim, Tab and it seems like someone else after our last GG when we were headed up to the Batchawana area to explore. And yes, they were laying in wait, as I was up front and had the officer step right out into traffic in front of me.

I know you got stopped at the last GG (06) but I though that was for "where you were at" kind of stuff. I didn't know they did the other inspections too.

90% of my tire is outside the body and I'm not putting jc whitney flares on it! I will eventually put a flare of somekind on it, but I dont know what it will be and I refuse to hack something together. I might, however, buy a sheet of 1/8" rubber and plastic pop rivet it on...

I'm more concerned with things like working brake lights :banghead: and a floor that you can't touch after driving for a while....

I have not had fender flares since 2007 and have never had an issue. (that's gonna come back to haunt me. )

It was odd stuff they were looking for. Like if the tires were over 44" they had to have driveshaft loops on the driveshafts, the tires couldn't be over xx high be ag tires, the inner fender stuff, and no front lift blocks, ect. They didn't say anything about the steering or the bead locks.
Oh and they were actually very nice and not intrusive at all. They were doing "spot checks" on traffic heading north and we were just too tempting to pass up.

Wouldn't sweat the inner fender thing, if you have flares, I'm sure you will have no issues. Biggest thing is an exhaust, brakes, working lights, if you don't have signal lights, you had better be using your bicycle hand signals, working brakes etc...

That and the chances that there will be anyone looking to "inspect" you guys again in the same area are very slim.

And don't forget seatbelts either. Spot checks for seatbelts have been done but I've only been pulled over twice but only on 556.

There is still room for anyone interested in going. It is now to late to order shirts.

When is everyone planning on going up?

Right now I'm thinking we are going to try and get up there by mid-day Wednesday. I'm hoping to go see some of the stuff that doesn't fit into the whole wheeling weekend agenda.

I'm hoping to pull a nooner on Thursday, should get there around 7pm or so.

Hopefully be there before midnight if not

What time are the trail rides leaving on Fri? We damn near missed the friday trail ride at DOA because we decided to stop and sleep a few hours on Thurs night. Driving that far after working all day sucks!!!

My original plan was to go up Tuesday night after work so I could do some additional scouting. I have a couple old trails to scout that haven't been run since 2006. Now, my mom is in bad shape so I don't know if we will be making it at all, and if we do, it might be a shortened trip.
