Default LS help

I am buying a 6.0 out of a 06 trailblazer ss from a friend but he only has the motor. Anyone know what ecm, harness & front accessory drives will work on this. I would like to get the parts from a bone yard instead of buying new. Any info will help. Thanks

The engine is an LS2 (I have the same motor at home). Before you get an ECM or Harness, double check if it is a 24x reluctor or 58x reluctor. 06's were usually 24x, 07s are 58x, but its not always a nice clean switchover. Mine is from an 07 TBSS, its a 58x reluctor.

In general, front accessories depend on what you are trying to fit it in. I think they are just the standard truck accessories, so the alt and ps pump from a 5.3/6.0 should fit.

The motor is a 2006. So if I find out how many teeth on the reluctor wheel any 6.0 harness with same teeth count will work? Does the same go for ECM?

If you can get the vin number from the original owner do it.

From http://lt1swap.com/identify_vortec_engine.htm
Pictures of the different wiring for the pedal, tac and harness itself for 2006 is on the website. This is all needed for the drive by wire throttle.

"2006 The TAC module part# changed, and was used with a different gas pedal as well. The 2006 gas pedal harness will have a large 10 position connector on one end (6 pins used) and a smaller 6 position connector on the gas pedal end. The 2006-07 TAC module must be used with a PCM programmed for proper 2006-07 operating system. There is an 8 digit number below the barcode of the 2003+ TAC module.

2003-2005 TAC # 12573058, 12588923 <= should both be compatible for 03-05 pcm's. I have used the 12573058 all 3 years no problems, not sure on the 12588923.

2006-2007 TAC # 12590008"

Using the vin, you should be able to get the original part numbers from the vehicle from a gm dealership.

Look at this link. You want to look for the crank sensor which is by the starter, on the right side of the block.

Reluctor Wheel 24x & 58x ? - LS1GTO.com Forums

It will be black, or grey, depending on which count.
