Default what 231 will swap in my 96 42re

any one know what other model 231 will fit . i know mine is a 23 short. what other models had it. i know imputs can be changed but looking for a direct swap is possible. inputs are exprensive and i do not have a spare. need a cas i can swap with my 4.1 for trail or dunes. the 4.1 is a little tight.

The zj uses a .840 input. Can I use a .750 input?

Inputs can be swapped or the whole front half of the case
The front case half is the same between the 249 242 and 231
I have a bastard 249 front 242 guts And back half in my grand Cherokee
