Default what OBDII scanner app is best on Iphone

I have been looking at the Torque app and the rev app trying to decide which one to use. or is there a better one?

rev app is expensive and the torque app is only $6 is there a functional reason for the price difference? or is the torque app just as good or better for the money?

I need to get the wifi plug yet, everything I have read everybody gets the cheap ones from ebay and they seem to work fine.

what OBDII app are you using on iphone and what are your opinions?

Been using GoPoint on my iPad. App is free, cable cost $100. I think now they only use bluetooth dongle though. I'd rather have an Android app now, but will have to foot the bill for the bluetooth dongle for the Android platform.

I'm interested in this. I used to have an app on my old palm pilot years ago
and just haven't even looked into anything since.

Some of those Bluetooth plugs are pretty cheap.
If there's a decent free app or even cheap one
I'm definitely going to pick one up for the android.

Torque Pro looks alright

I have an Android phone and use the Torque program, no complaints.

Yeah, I had REV.. It was nice, but it took me about three times using it to realize having an iphone app for that purpose is absolute BS.

I bought an edge insight, which fits any car from 96 and up. I need it for monitoring purposes on my power stroke, but it would be a great addition to any car. I bought mine on ebay http://www.ebay.com/bhp/edge-insight-cts-monitor

I had a scanguageII but it disappeared. was thinking it would be convenient to just have an app on the phone. but just can't pull the trigger on it.

What did you think was BS about rev? was it hard to use inaccurate or just a PIA

been thinking about just another monitor/scanner like scangaugeII or maybe step up to and edge but I'm cheap! LOL

Oh yea, Congrats CC!

I have always just rented them or asked the oil change place if they had one they could plug in.

I am getting a bullydog gt tuner/driving coach here next month for this 03 GDGA with the pos 3.4 that I picked up cheap. I doubt having the thing telling me 5k in overdrive is bad for mpg will change my driving habits. But, getting instant feedback to keep a eye on the damage I am causing may save me some cash.

You can pay with your phone all you want but at the end of the day you should use a real scanner.
