Default Bad news today

http://m.clickondetroit.com/news/mot...z/-/index.html

One of my friends from high school has passed away today and I would just like every one who rides a bike to be careful.

He was only 20 years old. The van driver didn't even see him

Yes he was wearing a helmet I heard in this case it didn't even matter

So sorry. It happens too often. 20 years ago a classmate died racing another classmate down a side street. One lost control, hit a telephone pole and ripped his left arm off. Died in the arms of the other classmate......

Yep Brandon was a great guy, I can't believe we just graduated afew years ago.. Hard to believe how fast life can change. Had a lot of good times growing up with him, most of our shanagins still make me laugh. B dog was a one of a kind, your going to be missed. My thought go out to his parents and family.

Sad to hear this. I enjoy riding my bike but wonder if it's really worth it some times.

As a rider this hits home, even more so that I have friends from Kettering that knew him. I have had a few calls too close for comfort. People are in too much of a hurry to look twice for what they didn't see the first time.

I haven't rode my bike since the middle of may. The last time I rode I was inches away from getting taken out by an asshole that wasn't paying attention. I am thinking about selling it now. I love riding but people can't drive. It isn't worth dying over. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing that picture and thinking about it.
