Default Lost the go pro today in Lake Fenton

Learn from me this sucks my Go pro came off the boat today when we were surfing. Put a float on your go pro if you are on the water.

Here's how to retrieve it:

1) Call FBI, tell them you have reason to believe Jimmy Hoffa's remains are in Lake Fenton.

2) Wait for FBI to drain lake looking for remains

3) Walk out on lake bed and get your GoPro!

Hmm, maybe this would be a good way to make money, scuba dive and look for go pros. How long are they good underwater for?

The depth gauge said 65ft where it came off at. We circled back quickly and looked around but it was gone....so sad. Oh well....time for a Hero 3!

I dont feel so bad now according to this test even if I had the float door on the Hero it would have still sank as it was connected to my suction cup....

I will have to put another float on the suction cup as well as the go pro

CC I used the 10% discount you gave last week and just ordered a Hero 3 black.

Hancho is correct. They definitely discovered that there IS mud at the bottom of Lake Fenton, it is not just a myth. Thank god for Scuba divers.

RIP Go Pro

Mine arrives tomorrow

That is the cheapest price I've seen since they were released.

If you had invited me to go wake surfing with you a few things would have happened.
1. I would have taught you awesome tricks.
2. I would have witnessed you losing your gopro
3. I would have been there first hand to acknowledge your lack of luck.
4. I would have saved you the time of going back to look for the go-pro and let you know it had already sank.

Any rough area as to where it sank? I could always try to locate it.

Towards the bottom, near the muddy area.

BTW, how would you locate it?

The floating door will hold just the camera up, if there is any mount attached to it they will sink. I tried mine with several mounts and they all sank. The floating door is pretty much pointless.

lake fenton has a surface area of roughly 900 acres.

Area of the lake are over 100 ft deep.

There is seaweed in the lake.

The bottom is sandy, muddy, rocky, and covered in seaweed as well.

A go pro has the surface area of roughly 4 square inches.

You are roughly/mildly/mostly/retarded.
