And, my posts were removed by moderators on 2 sites and I was not granted permission to post on 3 more. I guess because people were looking to get a deal & didn't want to be honest. I originally thought it would be worth $500-600 bucks & was asking opinions if guys thought that was too much! I finally did get someone to send me a PM from the Zuwharrie site and he said that $1,400 was a fair price for the east coast so that's what I went with.

I'm really sorry how this went down, it totally was not my intention to cause such a ruckus. This is starting to stress me out! I have a stressful life and I certainly wasn't looking to add more.

So let me ask all of you...who will honestly tell me on this forum what it's really worth? Step back, look at the situation from my point of view and then tell me what you think the fair thing to do is for everyone (including me).
Vee, It is hard to say without seeing it, but from what you say about it, it sounds like something between 1500 and 2500

did you search THIS site?

a quick search here and I find this add
http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/showthr...hlight=samurai

it's been for sale since nov last year, in excellent shape, asking $3500, not much action over 9 month means it probable over priced for this site.
so how close it the condition of yours to it, what type of TLC does it need? How fast do you want to sell it.

also from this site in the sold section, althought you never know it they sold for full asking price, I would bet at least close
http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/showthr...hlight=samurai
http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/showthr...hlight=samurai

and on CL I find
http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/3917937945.html

and there was another add on CL the day you posted this for 2 samurai's one needing some work for $1500 and another one mint needing nothing for $3500 similar to the one posted here.

If you wanted the most for it, you should have posted something like: I'm not sure what this is worth so I'll ask $3000 OR BEST OFFER, I want to sell it fast so bring all offers ASAP.
and expect offers all over the map from your $500 on up to what it's really worth. I say to start at $3000 based on the search showing one for 3500 with little response. If you didn't get a response after a few day drop the price $500 until you got response. That's how to get the best price without re-nigging on your offer to sell for $1400.
If you really want it gone fast and willing to take $1400 you should have started responding to people with a first contact, first cash sale, or could have taken the best higher offer by the time you were ready to make calls and set up the sale.
If you don't want the stress, you shouldn't be trying to set up an auction, they are stressful in nature.

Thanks John,
No, unfortunately I didn't look on this site. :o( I was looking on all of the "Zuki" "Sami" sites I could find - and the Detroit Craigslist. I didn't really find anything comparable - they were either rust buckets or already all done up. I have no idea what all those chassis parts & extras cost, so couldn't really put it all together. I didn't find the Great Lakes 4x4 & Michigan Wheelers sites until I was looking to place an ad. I guess I'm not part of the Good Ole Boy's club & wasn't allowed to be a member at Zukikrawlers and they don't allow new members to post anything at Zuwharrie, although one of the members there offered to put a post in for me & 2 others never even replied to my request to join.

Also...you offer excellent advice, I wish I would've gotten it sooner. The only guy that was willing to tell me anything said $1,400 was a good starting point, so that's what I posted it for...(hindsight is 20/20)! Then when I checked my email there were like 15 replies all at once. Sheesh! Now what do I do...

Right now I have an offer for $1,750 but I have to bring it back to Farmington. I told that guy if no one shows up at the cabin with a higher offer & a trailer, I will rent or borrow a trailer & bring it back for him....that's where I'm at.

Sorry if I pissed in anyone's Wheaties...you don't know me from Adam, but I'm definitely not the rotten person some are making me out to be. Great...now I'm crying! :'o(

Sorry, Venting and calling it as I see it.

You got a lot of interest on the Samurai and got greedy. That's why you still have it for sale, tire kickers aren't buyers.

You would have sold this to me on Saturday if you didn't play games.

Go drive up there, rent a trailer, tow it back and watch your buyer back out.
Joy of selling a used car and playing games with buyers.

Draw a name out of the hat and sell it for $1,400. "AS Listed" in your first post or the first guy that sent you a pm instead of Ebaying the tin can to the highest bidder.

your not the only person to have listed a low price on the board and the part or car/jeep sell quick. Pissed-no, interested- crossed my mind. Want more for it now? ReRead the rules for selling....again.

Same here, I am still interested and have cash with no BS attached. Last I checked this was still a free country, get as much as you can and good luck with the sale.

OCA#1 - so who's being greedy? I feel like some guys that are mad at me wanted it cheap so they can flip it for a huge profit. People shouldn't be so mean! This is a business transaction, I'm trying to be fair to everyone (including myself).

I was gonna build it up to wheel... Maybe you should of done your home work before listing it? 10 min of searching around on craigslist you would of know to put more on ur price.

Vee - You seem to have good intentions, an food luck with the sale. Don't pay much attention To the d'bag critics here. I'd suggest selling to the high-offer buyer and/or first with cash-in-hand. Craigslist may be another route.

Good luck with the sale. It looks like a good value.

Default Samurai is sold!

It sold this weekend to Rubilooe. Happy he got it, my husband and I are sad to see it go, but happy that it's going to a good home.

Thanks everyone...well...most of you.
