Default Modern day John Wayne?

This came up over lunch. Of this generations Hollywood actors, who would you consider their equivalent to something like John Wayne in terms of popularity and being nostalgic about when they pass?

My money is on justin beiber, never say never was a great movie and that kid has talent. Only time will tell if be ends up like John Wayne, but I'd say he has a good chance

Seriously? Are you 7 years old?

Clint Eastwood was the first to come to mind. My second answer is a bit off beat but Jeff Bridges is a pretty damn good cowboy / actor. He always keeps me wanting to watch his movies.

Nah I wish, those were some good times. Joking around regardless, I'd of said the same thing if he'd stop dying hard ever few years.

Clint Eastwood on the other hand, he's got my vote

I know you are asking in terms of acting, but you did ask on the 4 of July.
John Wayne was a very proud American. And I think he refused roles that didn't reflect that. I believe the movie 1942 was one.
So I think I'd go with Clint Eastwood. He as Duke did seems to care about our country.
