Have spent 80+ nights in this setup so far. Down in the south enjoying the weather.

Time to go bigger though.

10.5ft camper in a utility bed, an extended cab, and lowering the F700 a few inches.

Something like this.



Dont have Solid Works on the road so I have to pencil draw things.

Somewhere between 8 and 10. I have never calculated it, usually when the F450 I travel with needs fuel I still have about 50 miles to go before empty.

I would love that truck for wheeling. Pull a 48' gooseneck with 2 trucks and some quads or a sxs. Either way awesome use of what most people would have scrapped.

It has been a great truck for the past 10k miles towing, only tiny gremlins that pop up once in a while. Power is great fully loaded, could use an extra gear but I will get around to it.

Hopefully I can find a flatbed come spring and rework the springs on this beast and take both up to Drummond. I was super close to pulling the motor in the F700 and putting it in the Super Duty but...7.3s were made for wheeling.

I know...ended up cutting that big ass rear bumper off that was killing my departure angle. It could use a bob to the rear shackles but that will be in the future. Have got a DIY4x shackle flip that im going to throw on it and soften the springs up alot. Lift the front an inch or 2 to clear the cross over steering better and then hog the fenders out.

The powerstroke is an awesome motor to turn 38s with.

Built a full 4 inch exhaust out of some pipe I traded at a local south carolina scrap yard off of an old school bus. Did a little cutting and welding and got it to fit pretty good. Had to make a couple of mitered bends but I plan on smoothing them out before I paint it.















Sounds really good too.

Once again this build rocks and the lower stance sounds cool as heck.

Unfortunately, blowouts do happen no matter how careful you are. If that inner tire was to shred tossing cords those cords can very quickly whip against the exhaust potentially pulling it down. If you ever needed to chain up the chains could also be tossed into the exhaust.

You may want to beef up your hangers or install a guard to prevent damage to the exhaust in the event of a tire failure.

Hopefully I dont have any heavy blow outs. It could probably use 1 or 2 more hangers just to make sure it is completely solid, with a little bit of flex also. Was pretty close to a full on blow out about 3500 miles ago. The inner driver's rear separated almost 360 degrees around the base of the bead leaving a 1/4" split around the tire. Found it when I pulled in the driveway and another 50 miles it would have came loose. Got some good tread to replace it and got a very solid spare I carry with me now. Need a big bottle jack and some tire changing tools now.
