None of that stuff bothers me. Make me a low offer, offer cash whatever you want. Trade for stereo or paint ball stuff whatever. Offer away. I can always say no. What bothers me more than anything is to drive 3 or 4 hours get there and find someone else loading the piece of shit or getting there and finding it was not even close to what the seller described.

That doesn't bother me. The term that bothers me is "original miles", what other kind of miles are there? Every mile put on the vehicle is original. Actual miles may mean something but original miles is just wrong.

This. Or when people have a vehicle for sale on cl and it says "low miles" on the title; I click on it and find out that their definition of "low mileage" is 150xxx.

The bottom dollar question doesn't bother me, what pisses me off is when i answer with "my ad says xxxx, but make me an offer" and they refuse to make an offer.

every time I have had an e-mail, or response in a thread asking that question I have either ignored it, or told them that the price was listed, along with links to 'comps' that are currently listed, and if they are interested to come and look at it before offering a stupid low-ball.

some people are as you said stupid enough to drop the price based on a bottom dollar troll.

some people don't care to fukc around "negotiating" when said "interested person" hasn't even taken the opportunity to take a look at the item in question.

Cash in hand. No shit? I don't care if it is in the bank or stuffed in your old woman's bra. You are going to show up with cash or you can fukc yourself. Everyone that is going to buy it has "cash in hand".

I'm just sick of people giving ridiculous low ball offers on stuff. $7,000 for a car I have posted at $19,000? Go fukc yourself. The phrase in which it's delivered doesn't matter.

That's all relative. If it was a 20 year old daily driven vehicle, that would be low miles.

I hate it when someone buying a pricy item after you agree on a price asks if you can hold it untill X day and then shows up to pay your let's say $850 dollars and does the oh I only have $100's will you take $800? Um no but I'll take $900 or there are 30 establishments between here and the highway if you hit the highway and none of them wants to break a $100 just get on the highway and head home!

I tell them "I'm not ABC WAREHOUSE... I don't negotiate prices... This is the best possible price..."

My answer is what I listed it for, If I wanted less I would have listed it for less. I do not haggle, buy it for my price of find it elsewhere, I price things realistically.

I love low ball offers, I reply wanting 20% more and will not go back to my original price. I was selling a $900 bumper only used 6 months for $400, and I was offered $100 for it, I replied $450. The guy sends back $300 and I go to $500. He finally said he will pay the $400, and I said it is now $500 for you. Needless to say after a bunch of whinny e-mails from him, he paid $440 for it.

Sorta......

Original miles to me typically means on the original paint, motor, body.....

Actual Miles is total miles.

Rebuilt Engine has xx,xxx miles, total mileage is xxx, xxx.

Your mileage may vary, but this is how I always looked at it.

I use that on her occasionally. Mostly because half of the for sale items I see there are post that start with "Can you hold it for me, I need to get the money together." I'm smart enough to save a little, fuck em if they spend it all.

I can see where you're coming from. However, I've just always figured that a true low mileage vehicle (not taking age into account) is under 100xxx.

How do you feel when people sell something with a rebuilt motor and ask kbb value for the vehicle with mileage from the motor, and not the body?

Drives me nuts when someone says "OBO" but doesn't list a price. I refuse to spend any of my time trying to guess what they think the value of their goods are.

I cannot stand any ad that does not have a price, whether it is a private seller or a dealer. There is a stealership in Cheboygan that does not list prices of their vehicles on their website. When I was looking for a new car I checked out the site and refused to even call.
There is an old Satellite for sale on CL, price is listed as $1. No other price anywhere on the ad. Thought about calling because its an original big block car and looks nice, but figure the $1 is just the beginning of $10,000...

My favorite 'bottom dollar'

Dumbest statement in an ad is 'good miles', yup, it has 30,000 good miles, and 200,000 really bad ones....

I'm usually suprised when people don't haggle with me, I expect to be asked. I also ask, I don't want to offend someone with a low ball. Asking just lets me feel out the person I am buying from.
