Default Need a little tig welding done.

I have an aluminum part I need welded.

It is a cast piece that houses a hybrid inverter for a Lexus.

Has a couple cracks on the front of it and it need to hold coolant.

Need it done this week.

JB weld works great on aluminum.

No such thing. Hybrid inverters do not need cooling. This whole thread is BS.

You need to find the reason why it cracked and fix that first (mounting?). Find the ends of the cracks and drill a small hole in them. This will keep the crack from propagating. JB weld will work after that but you must not put the part in service for at least 24 hours.

Or have it welded if you can find somebody.

It's probably the flux capacitor anyway.

That was my thoughts. Never used them before but they are real close.

It cracked from an accident. A used one is $600 and is an option but fixing it will be cheaper.

Usually with Firehawk, the reasons things cracked it because it smashed into something....

Mayo does good work. I've had them weld many things that I have broken.

they are awesome, and should be able to squeeze something like that in a day. woody is the owner and has always taken care of me and my dad with our equipment over the years. had him weld a broken aluminum bracket on my hedge trimmers last year, was like 30$ and had it done quick and has held up to my guys beating the crap out of them. just bring what you have in there, something small like that they usually just get it out of the way quick. they get some pretty big projects in there.

PS guessing you are too busy to take a look at my sisters car, I saw it the other day, it isnt bad, slight 3" dent and looks like about a 2x12" area would need to be sanded/painted where it scuffed down to primer. Nbd if not
