Default probably a stupid question. but none the less.

I am replacing one of the injector wiring harnesses, and I don't think there is any chasers on the wires. so I am assuming that it doesnt matter which wire I connect to positive, and negative. is this correct. I know its an easy fix, but I'd rather do it right the first time, and not have to take it apart again. it shouldnt matter, but I'll put it down anyways. 91 yj 4 banger.

Not positive, but if you wired backwards the solenoid should push on the valve inside the injector instead of pull.

So yes it goes a certain way.

Unless there is something I don't know about gas injectors

You are correct...there is something you don't know.

Take a pic of the connector on the injector, it will help in finding a spec for it, be it a bosch, marelli, delphi, or other injector.

looks like a bosch injector with EV-1 connector.... with the harness connector and looking at the back side where wires come out with locking spring up, positive is on the right, negative on the left.

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/f...-ev1-p-48.html

how our test bikes are wired, can't find the spec sheet at the moment, must be friday afternoon!

hope it helps.

well if I was reconnecting the same harness, it's not hard at all. but I am replacing the connector (with a new one) so I am just making sure there is no way of reversing the polarities on it. so instead of being a smart ass about it. a simple yes, you are correct, or no it does make a difference which wire is connected to positive and negative would have been a suitable answer. instead of making yourself look like a _______. I'll just leave that blank for other people to fill it in. but I have my opinoins.
