Default After market Cruise control

I got a 2007 E450 box truck with a V10. Its the older v10 not the style with the bad spark plugs. Trying to find a kit to put cruise on this thing. It has a/c but no cruise . Coming up short on finding anything with my limited research skills . Anybody know if any shops that do after market installs?

My understanding its the same platfrom as the motorhomes.

Things I find are like this, not a whole lot of info given.

Does it have a cable throttle or electronic?

I am pretty sure its cable. I'll verify tonight if I get it back (its loaned out at the moment). Get a box truck and everybody wants to borrow it

You could fill it with junk and park it at a friend's house.

If it is elec. throttle you may be able to get a steering wheel with the buttons and then I can enable cruise in the PCM. I just did that on a 08 crown vic. The wiring was all there on that car but a big truck like that it probably will be not there...lol

Looking on Identifix it appears to be fly by wire. Which honestly would surprise me. I imagine the steering wheel on e250-450 would be the same.

So then it looks like this kit would work then? Looks I should start checking the local yards for the same parts but cheaper.

Before you buy, you might want to chat with the ford dealer to see if they can enable it in their tool. It would suck to hook up everything and then find that the dealer programming tool is locked from adding the feature for some reason.

If they were to enable it before you install the switches, then I would guess the worst case would be that it would set codes for the buttons being missing.

I am gonna pull the wheel and check for the wiring before I spend anything. And if it does, I would go to a local pick and pull to find the parts. Worst case I install and doesn't work I have 30 days to return the parts.
