Really, there's so many plug in harnesses and adapter plates you should be able to do it yourself with no problem.

I've installed my last 3 stereos myself. I buy stuff from Crutchfield and they give you the adapters, dash bezels and instructions.

Depending on your vehicle, I would NOT do the install. With the amount of items running off the CAN BUS.......I have mine installed.

I agree . If its a newer car ,do not do it yourself . If its not class 2 data or can bus data then its not too bad . So , what car do you have?

I have an 03 sierra and I had to buy the damn Onstar module so my chimes would work properly. But I installed it myself no problem. I just had to read the schematics to know what wire was what and soldered them all. Thats what took the longest.

If you don't get the Onstar module then I guess the chimes won't work since they play through your speakers and your Onstar won't work either. I don't use my Onstar but I bought it anyway.

I've installed stereo's in probably 10 of the cars I've owned and it wasn't too bad. If I knew I could get a decent install for $30 I would have installed 0.
