The only reason I even mention my motor, racing, or jeep is because of all the idiots that think a V8 swap is the only way to go if you want more power. These assholes should spend a little time building motors before they open their mouth.
The tone of my post change when I am called a lier, which is what people are insinuating.
Im not a lier. Well unless Im tryin to get in your pants.

MY jeep is not fast. It weighs 4000lbs with me in it and runs very well for a 6 cyl. Is it wrong to be proud of a inline six that has schooled many, many V8 trucks, jeeps, and two 4.6 mustangs? I guess I would rather be proud and wrong then a fucking asshole like most of the people here. You have always seemed pretty cool, Im not calling You an asshole.

I enjoy a little jab once in awhile. I will even miss kickstand fucking with me but the nonstop slamming doesnt sit well with me. I will get violent and I have a house to pay for so I dont need this bullshit. I have spent enough time and money " correcting" people with big mouths in the past so It's best if I gtfo before I get angry and in jail.
If you're prone to violence over stuff like this thread you have issues. Quit blaming it on other people.

Seems like the best of all possible combos.
That's an idea but it was my understanding that the 5.9s didn't produce much power and in order to do a hemi swap required lots of $$$

5.9s don't make the hp of a 5.3 because they don't wind out like the 5.3, but they make the same torque.

If only you had done a write-up on that swap and posted it on a forum somewhere...

Ive heard the 4.7 v8 swap is harder than the 318. Would you agree after doing it Johnny? I was just wondering.

Yeah, the 4.7 is wide due to the SOHC. I think the 5.2/5.9 drop in without firewall mods.

On paper the 5.2 and 4.7 are the same hp & torque numbers, but the 4.7 is much more of a spinner.

That depends on what you can find the motor / trans for....you can buy a stand alone hemi / manual trans harness from hotwire auto for 950$ or you can buy one from them that makes the hemi plug and play in your jeep for 1500$.....i believe the do 5.2/5.9 harnesses as well

Looks like they make about the same torque but fall shy in the HP department by about 40

I read that to mean $1500 for a plug and play harness

No.

1500$ for a harness to connect the hemi and all its electronics to your jeep and have everything function as designed.
