468 big block chevy
I am selling the 468 from my bogger to help offset the cost of the other motor im buying. It runs great, has great oil pressure too.
.060" 454 block, 1976 i believe, Speed Pro Hyperutectic pistons I was told about 9.0:1 Compression ratio
Crank is stock cast, turned .010" rods, .010' mains, stock rods also
1973 (049) GM Oval port heads, have been fitted with larger 2.19" Int & 1.88" Ex valves. No port work. Crane valve springs
Comp Cams 292 Magnum Hyd Flat tappet camshaft.... .550"/.550" lift, 244/244 Duration at .050" 2500-6500 RPM cam
Harland Sharp roller rocker arms
Trick Flow hardened push rods
Summit Stage 2 Intake, the bottom of the plenum is dual plane, the top is open
750 CFM Holley carb
Moroso 8 qt oil pan and Moroso valve covers
GM dist fitted with MSD internals and rev limiter
It does not come with the 950 carb pictured unless you wanna add $700 to the price since it is brand new, 2 runs on it.
It does not come with headers, plug wires or front accessories, i need these for my new motor.
It will have timing cover and harmonic balancer on the front.
The short block was built & assembled by Plain Performance in SIlverwood, MI
It has never been on the dyno, but the guy that does my machine work now says its an honest 475 hp. Maybe more, but i dont know.
Ive always run Valvoline 20w-50 VR1 for motor oil. It will run on pump gas & is streetable.
Its a strong motor, and with the hp number i want to reach i dont want to tear this one down and redo it.. it runs too good the way it sits.
It will be in the truck for another week or 2, then im planning on pulling it, i should still be able to start it on a stand for you.
It is on craigslist, priced higher..
$3,500....with whats listed above, No trades..
