I always liked the old box looking ones.

They were RWD if memory serves me right.

I'm thinking $3k is bit pricey for this one. 158,000 miles and some major rust holes, unless there is something about them I'm unaware of...

My cousin sold his last year with 168k on it and no rust for $1,300. It was not in bad shape ether.

He hated it for wheeling though. Said it just was not near as good as his old 88 F150. He bout a land cruiser and loved it. But it was stolen. Now hes rocking an XJ. But wants another land cruiser when he can get the cash for one.

I've been working for a Honda dealer for the past 7 years. It will be a happy day when the last of these thing find their way to a junkyard. The only thing Honda designed on it was the badge on the grill. Between the leaky intake gaskets and the rusted out frames (right where the rear trailing arm attaches) we cringe every time one of these things pulls into the service lane.

i have a '94 rodeo (same as the passport) with a 3.2L 5 sp (and if i'm not mistaken a dana 44 rear end with posi)
it's rusty and ugly and uses a bit of oil but the a/c works, teh 4wd is awesome and the fawkr is bulletproof but if not lifted the ground clearance ain't so good
i paid $2k for mine wiht 100k miles on it 5 yrs or so ago and drove it daily for 3 years.
it was the car my son learned to drive in and he drove it for a year before he got his blazer.
now just use it in the winter or when dragging the bikes up north...wanna bu

Youtube it. There are some good looking Rodeos on there. I have an Amigo, 2dr Rodeo. I only use it in winter, but it works good. You can lift them about 3" with a few turns on the torsion bar and $150 rear springs. Mine has the lift, locking hubs, hardtop. It seems solid.
The bad, the auto trans is a 4l30e, lots of problems with them. In the 3.2l there are not enough oil return holes, so it consumes oil. It doesn't smoke, though. Not all have the frame rust issue. Mine is pretty good.
