Default 1975 18' Sol-Cat catamaran

This has been an awesome boat, really fast, I was told this is faster than a Hobie 18 and I wouldn't doubt it. Includes everything needed in usable condition, sails are in good shape, includes two sets of trapeze wires and harnesses. Boat could use a good cleaning, the hulls do have slow leaks, most likely in the daggerboard trunks, but in a full day of sailing they don't leak much, only when it sits in the water for extended periods. Trailer is included, asking 800 obo.

Summer is coming, even if it doesn't feel like it. Parents are no longer on a lake so I need to move this.

My brother had the solcat 15, and you're right, these boats fly on the water. Very stable too.

Sell your hobie and buy this, you'd be amazed at how much faster this is compared to a 16 footer

I actually thought of that for a minute. However the lake i'm on is barely large enough for a 16ft boat, if i were to go to an 18 just wouldn't work

Yeah, cats don't exactly turn on a dime...I sailed this on a smaller lake, it sucked getting a hull out of the water only to have to slow down and change tack.
