Default Credit card with a smartphone

Need to setup to be able to take credit card payments with my android phone. It will rarely be used. But need to have the ability. Anybody doing this? Which service are you using? A quick google gives lots of options.

I have used Square: cheap, pretty user friendly.

How about this question:

Have you had issues with people being reluctant to swipe their credit card into your phone?

If it was some place or someone I knew I wouldn't be apprehensive. The Froyo place we go to all the time just started using some sort of card swiper on an iPad. However if for some reason I was caught between a rock and a hard place at the Chaldean Car Clinic off of 7 miles and John R I may be very nervous(probably for many other reasons too).

Maybe that's just my dad talking though...

Square works great for me as well. When you are done swiping, they sign the phone with their finger, and you can choose to text or email the receipt to them. They receive the receipt immediately. Mine gets used about 2wice a month.

I own a credit card processing business here in Petoskey.

If you process more than $600 per month, I have an iPhone app that is cheaper than the Square or any of its competitors. I also have an online gateway, you would have to hand key the card number in on android as of now, the app is coming soon though!

Paypal- more expnsive than square but funds are available immediately.

Square- cheaper than paypal and much more recognized. funds take 2 days.

3rd option amd my preference. Quickbooks has one. fees are a little more than square but if you are a premium program user its free. Also with quickbooks the transactions are logged in for accoumting which is a huge timesaver.

We work directly with quick books and blow intuit's rates out of the water. Also next day funds on everything including Amex and no separate deposit or statement.
