If I was closer I would be happy to lay some beads of baddness for you.
If you go to home depot they have a pretty good welders hand book for ten or fifteen bucks. I have been welding for years and still learned alot from that book.
Get some scraps and start practicing.

If you run into any issues feel free to pm me and I will try to walk you through it. Another forum that is good for welding is weldingweb.com. Do some reading on there and you can learn a lot.

I am a pipe welder and if get into something that I don't have experience in that is usually my first stop to get info. Most of my questions involve welding dissimilar metals and there is usually somebody that will chime in and help out.
