Default What kind of car is this?

Saw this in Lansing but couldn't get close enough to see what it was, looked like a porche emblem but not sure, it was fast and sounded sexy!

That would be it! It was racing a crotch rocket and the lotus had at least 1 car length on the bike. Not sure what kind of bike.

I did all the hvac work in this guys house in muskegon. He has one. Cool car.

The cool thing is that the interior isn't all flashy and pricy looking. It's very basic and just meant for go fast fun. He said the thing rocks in the corners at the track. He said the vette guys can of course waste him in the straights, but when it comes to the corners...

This is true, but they do have one of the highest HP / Weight ratios, maybe the highest. I bet they would give a bike and a vette a run for their money. Someone should look up the 0 to 60 times for each.

don't they weigh something stupid like 1200 lbs? I know they are light and have that power to weight ratio thing going for them.

Lotus_Elise Lotus_Elise

1600 lbs.

0-60 in 5.8, which is actually kinda slow compared to even a WRX.

195 hp for the yellow elise(i think a little higher in newer models) . The red one in the first pic is an exige. Same thing, just hardtop. And no they don't have that high of a power:weight ratio. They are meant as a fun track car with great handling, basically like a mid-engine version of the miata. In a lot of them the interior is super bare; no carpet, no radio, just the essentials for racing. There is a "track" version of the exige with 295 hp instead of 195.

Edit: I should note, those numbers are just from memory, not necessarily exact.
