I used to wheel more when my kids were young. It was something we did that we all enjoyed. back then (10 years ago) I'd go wheeling 15-20 times a year. Now their grown and don't go with me, and I only get out about 6 times a year.

I don't get to wheel as much as I would like. I almost enjoy the build and garage time more than wheeling.

I've almost given up on the thought of wheeling. So many other things take up my time and money now. But that's life I guess.

My wheeler is my "car", and over the past few years I have started being more selective about where and how often we hit the dirt. But we still try to get out monthly when work allows it. My wife seems to go less and less each year, but my son still comes most trips, and soon we are going to start sharing driving duties so I don't expect that to change any time soon.

I have 5 kids, now 24 to 14 years old. The second oldest bought his own CJ about 4 years back. They have been participating since the mid 90's. We found it to be a great family activity. Yes, it required two jeeps to fit everyone. Our wheeling isn't as extreme, the group I run with limits tire size to 33's on the property we have access to. This allows everyone to participate with "reasonable" modifications.

We manage about 4 long weekends a summer now, used to be 6 or 7. With Bundy opening, and being an hours drive we go there an extra 2 or 3 times as a day trip. It did get more difficult as far as everyone's schedules as the kids got older.

We were also able to make the blessing this year, which will add 1 more trip into the mix, although we did not participate in the courses.

The nice thing about being on 33's is they are street friendly. We put a couple thousand miles on them as convertibles (with tire noise) over the summer. It is fairly common for us to take a 3 to 4 hour ride on a weekend. I know, it's not wheeling and doesn't count.

Our schedules greatly impact what and when we can go. We went three times early in the year, before March, but now we both are so busy at work we have had to cancel planned trips.
This summer we will go out some but if the weather is nice I'd rather be kayaking or riding my bike.
Last year we went at least once a month, but this year will probably be only 8 or 9 times.
