They might not appreciate it if its their first, but the biggest pack of diapers you can get for the money you want to spend.

I wouldn't want to store a size six for two years...

Get a newborn or size one. You won't buy to many.

2 free nights of baby sitting. God knows after 2 weeks of newborn hell you just need to get out for a couple of hours.

This was going to be my suggestion as well.

When close friends of ours have babies, we used to always send a card with a gift card to Kroger, Meijer, or Target (plus maybe a small gift when we see the baby the first time) but lately we've switched to sending a card with two handmade coupons for a free evening of babysitting at our house or theirs.

As much as I would like two free nights of baby sitting, I would wipe my ass with the homemade coupons. Bad gift idea

Sarry, Maybe that was a bit harsh. But if someone really gave me two Home made coupons, their next gift would be a home made, home made coupon starter kit consisting of two pages of loose leaf paper, an ink pen and one marker...

If your getting clothing. Everyone thinks in the now. Buy for 6-12 months down the road. No one ever plans ahead when it comes to clothing.
