Brother in law has one. He has been trying to get the best mileage he can out of it. Bought a scan gauge, air intake, etc. I don't remember his best so far but I think DDing it to work and back I think hes gotten around 44. He seems to like it though, haven't heard anything bad about it. I think it is crazy small though. It made my old cavalier feel big.

I am a few hundred miles away from 50k. ZERO problems. Well, my remote start stopped working, but that got fixed.

My LJ is about at the end of it's DD commuting life, so I have been looking at small econo-boxes too. I thought I had settled on the Fiesta over the Cruze Eco until I pulled up next to a Fiesta at a light. It looks soooo small, I am having second thoughts - not because of interior room or comfort, but I had a brief panic attack at the thought of being run over by a giant SUV like a RAV4 and dying a horrible, foil-wrapped death. Have not driven one yet though.

Are you referring to the electronically shifted manual transmission?

If so the one in our focus is trouble free, offers no mid range acceleration, its an on off feel in the gas pedal, the sport mode is decent, the mileage is still not as good as it was in our 5 - speed.
