This morning I went through the hot bar at Whole Foods and played chicken with a vegan.
Every time she would scoop more vegan slop onto her tray, I'd scoop more bacon, sausage, and eggs.

I ended up with a huge pile of bacon, 4 different types of sausage, and more eggs than I could eat. Shit was expensive too!

Vegan girl must have been hungry, I probably would be too if I ate that slop all the time.

yeap.

We've been picking up sirloin from costco and have gotten it as cheap as 3.99/lb. It's healthier than lunch meat, tastes better in ommellettes, and grilling a steak for breakfast is fantastic. We cut them into 4-8oz peices or so, freeze them up and pull out a bag of them for the week to thaw in the fridge.

It's like a steak veggie and potatoe for dinner, except its steak, eggs and a veggie

When I stopped consuming mass amounts of bread, cereal and other grains I starved for weeks, and I was eating massive amounts of meat and veggies, I can only imagine trying to go vegetarian or vegan, I can't imagine how hungry I would feel all the time.

I pay around 2.35 a pound for beef that is raised by an individual that doesn't pump them full of hormones and steroids. It is cheap, healthier and tastes better.

I would prefer to find some local beef, but near me the prices are outrageous due to all the hipsters eating healthy. PM contact info if you don't mind.

I actually got the last beef I bought from dougstephvoor. His kids keep the cows brushed and clean and the areas he puts them are also very clean. No steroids, hormones, anti diuretics or antibiotics that are unneeded. The beef has been very good and him and his wife were great to deal with. I will be getting more from him if he has any available when I get home. I have barns and plenty of fenced in pasture so I would like to raise two starting next spring. I like the idea of eating what I raise and grow in a garden.
