Yeah I dream about that shit constantly, I'd love a UTV. I at least got a utility quad a few months ago, it's a start.

We all dream about shit everyday. We also don't post it on GL4x4 on a daily basis either.

Well, depends on what you want to do, and if you really are going to work it, or just light use.

We have had several of those options. We have a Gator with a dump bed. I *think* its only a 4x2 model, but does have a diff lock which helps.

We also have 2 golf carts. One is regular, the other has a lift, and more aggressive tires.

Have also had utility quads, and I have the ubiquitous dump cart behind my lawnmower.

If its not for trail driving, I would think a rhino/etc is way overkill, unless you have a farm or something.

Gator is OK, bed isn't real big, and its not super fun to drive or anything. Its about a 10 year old model.

The Golf cart, my parents use them all the time. I mean every single day. Actually they bought my grandma one also, since she's in her mid 80s and it helps her get around her property. They are they easiest to drive and most 'civilized' for non-offroady types, such as my 80-something year old grandma. They are also something you just sit in and go, no warming up engine, etc. And they are silent. My parents found this to e a benefit one one of their properties with 50 wooded acres, since they like to watch wildlife, and it scared off the animals much less than the gator does. Both of ours are your basic club car, with a flip rear bench seat where the clubs would go, that flips to be a little platform. Their uses are for hauling people, hauling stuff like garbage bags from house to house, and to the road(they use these at 2 properties, one is 50 acres, the other is 20 acres with 5 houses with over 2000ft of road frontage, so they are large distances for 60+ yr olds).

The Ute Quad was very useful for heavy work, like winching something, dragging logs in the forest, etc. But I found less of those jobs, and more thing like moving fireword, etc. The Quad also damaged the lawn a lot due to locked rear diff and very aggresive tires. It did OK with plow duties in the winter but all of them are too light to really push drifts back, which can be an issue in a long winter.

The little P.O.S. dump trailer I have is old, and beat up. I routinely overload it with firewood, and sometimes dirt (firewood seems to be the #1 thing I haul with it), and it keeps doing its job well. It hauls the kids when they want a ride, and if I put in stakes, it is good for brush cleanup. Its obviously limited in speed by the mower to about 5mph, and now that I have a ZTR style mower, instead of a lawn tractor, you have to be careful driving, since you can jack knife if you have a brain fart.

To me, if you need to just haul stuff, get a lawnmower and a cart. Its minimum investment and in a year or two, if you need more, you will know.

If you want to drive around the neighborhood and cover long bits of ground, the golf carts are good. They can be found for decent prices.

I wouldn't buy a gator unless you really know you need that kind of work vehicle, like having a farm, or a lot of woods or something.

Manual wheel barrow for the win. Never gets stuck, breakdowns are a handle coming off or flat tire, and cheap. They never run out of gas. Did I mention cheap? And with a walkout basement, you can wheel firewood right through the basement door.

Andy likes internet abuse. This has to be the only possibly reason for this thread. Andy, just go finance a new one of each. Cheap payments and that will leave you some extra $ for aftermarket upgrades.

I never had a go cart as a child

All I did was ask a question. Blame those who respond in an unintelligent way.

It has nothing to do with the answers. The answers you received were based solely on the quality of the question.

Come on man. You know damn well you don't need anything like that and if we all started posted "dream" threads this site would be flooded with retarded shit.

I agree that was pretty good.

Seriously dude, chill out on the spending or you'll be in debt to your eyeballs within 6 months. Buy a used lawnmower and a dump cart and call it good. I'm being as nice about this as I possibly can. Also, wait till you have the damn house to get the stuff. A lot can happen between now and when you sign the papers and take occupancy.
This is where I stopped reading, I mean I went back and re-read, but I had to point out how wrong you were, Andy has proven over and over and over again with multiple topics that he is incapable of learning a god damned thing.

My wheelbarrow runs out of gas though, seeing as how I am the motor.

A wheelbarrow is best for around the house stuff. If you have more shit to move around throw it in the bed of your truck.

If you're looking for the easier way just farm out whatever "work around the house" you need to do. You will come out far ahead vs the thousands spent on a tool to save your back vs a wheelbarrow. Plus you will have more time to play ambalamps.

If I needed to move stuff from the yard to the woods or the curb I would buy a teenage child to do it for me
