Lol. And your definition of what exactly tube is, contributes to this thread how? Who cares. Tube, square stock, etc. My point was it is not a stock frame that was fish plated. It is a tube and "rectangular steel" frame if I'm not allowed to call it tubing...

It's a nice rig. Just needs some bars from the b pillar down to the rear. That's why it broke where it did.

I wonder if the weakness in the frame is what saved his neck in this landing? I hope he is wearing a neck brace when doing this ?
I dont care if anyones dislikes him or his truck I hate to see a guy getting hurt.

I'm not sure you carry the qualifications to make a judgement like that? Are you are structional engineer focusing on automotive frames and stability? And the term nice is relative. It means different things to different people

No sir I do not. But apparently you are and you are also an engineer focused on just exactly what a good dune rig is and how they must be built I take it? And this apparently is a garbage vehicle inside and out among people of your greater knowledge

I'm guessing it absorbed a lot of the impact. I stopped and talked to him for a minute on Saturday but he was working on it and didn't stay long. I didn't get a chance to look inside but I'm guessing its got a good seat setup.

Really? He ran that chassis design through simulations to get a crumple zone out of it? That's very interesting. I wonder who he was running his simulations or is he doing it himself? I'm guessing he told people it was supposed to do that to make the truck sound more official. Very classy move in my book. BTW did you know Al Gore invented the Internet?

Just a question,...........If you don't work for GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, ect.. can you know what you are doing or talking about when it comes to structural integrity of steel and how its assembled? Cause if this isnt the case, I paid way to much for my schooling.

Understand that I think this guy is an idiot for doing jumps like that in a public place without safety beariers, and equipment. I also think he should be banned from S.L. but my opinion doesn't count all that much.

You are wasting your time. HCH has superior knowledge in every aspect of everything. Whether it be this, drag racing, rock climbing, you name it, he is the god of all chassis setups.

I'm pretty sure there are people that don't work for an OEM Auto Manufacturer that know a lot about to structural integrity of steel and how its assembled. Some are degree holding engineers and some are not.

Well, we all know that the yellow jeep you like to defend certainly isn't the god of all chassis set ups.

HCH is a god, I'm just not sure what he is the god of yet. I haven't seen him in a while.
