Exclamation All wheel drive duramax

hey I have a quick question. I own a 02 duramax and recently it decided that it doesn't wish to come out of 4wd. While I do like 4wd, its not cool all the time. I can hear the transfer case move but the front dif actutator will not decompress. once I disconnected the light blue wire the actuator recompressed. i have tried other actuators and same problem. why does the light blue wire have constant power? or does anyone know what the light blue wire connects too? is it maybe the switch, tccm, or encorder motor?? thanks for the help! -Dan

light blue wire at the front axle actuator goes straight to the transfer case module. it's buried behind the dash. behind headlight switch. up high. sounds like that control module may be bad. I'd say it was the switch, but it sounds like the transfer case responds to the switch, just not the front axle.
