At the end there, the driver said "A little pig ran into the highway and I swerved to miss the little guy"

I would have been afraid of being hijacked.
About 15 yrs ago a guy I know lost a pole barn full of muscle to a fire. A lot of first gen camaros, big block chevelles, old corvettes. It wasnt three million but it was several hundred thousand, and I heard it was way under insured. A sad day indeed.

Cars bought in the 70's were cheap. If you had the right sense of buying and keeping you could amass a great deal of cool iron. Look at the old Chrysler wing cars, they were basicly trash a few years after they were sold. Now they are big coin. Kinda like a family farm, had to buy it when is was cheap or you cant afford it now.

Without going into to much detail. I know someone who has a few warehouse's full of vintage cars he has collected over the years. The buildings are insured based on appraised estimates of the vehicles within.

Trying to insure every single car would be a a massive waste of capitol and time.
