5.3 upgrades

looking at spicing up a buddy's 2001 5.3 Yukon. just needs a little extra for pulling a camper. already has electric fans. is it worth just doing the f-body intake? or a ls6 intake? I know about the ls6 cam swap, trying to stay less $ amounts.. and is there a tuner that actually helps with low rpm torque?? thanks in advance, david

My programmer has a "towing" setting but I have never used it. I imagine it would help in the low end. But you have to run premium fuel.

I did a K&N FIPK and I have a Flowmaster cat-back. I haven't tried hauling anything but a 5x8 U-Haul. Pulled that just fine.
