Default 95 4.0 42re Trans problem

i Believe its a 42re since its a 95 and mated to the 4.0L 242tc, once warm it wont shift, Is there a pump or converter thats bad? Can pick it up pretty cheap, just debating if its worth it.

Yes, it's a 42RE. If it's cheap enough I'd pick it up, you can get a junk yard trans for a few hundred bucks worst case....swapping the trans is a day of work tops if you've got someone to give you a hand.

Thinking about it, It was my brothers old rig and the kid he sold it kinda let it go to hell but the 4L ran good. I believe the trans had already been swapped/ replacement when my brother bought it 3-4 years ago. Was curious as what the trans needs but ill shop around for another replacement,
