Default biggest and first on fly rod

first time fly fishing. i missed a couple hits, one broke off. Then i hook into this guy.

23" long and 11.5" around

It has been 12 years since I have been trout fishing, and that was when I lived out west. I think I need to dig out my fly rod and reel.
