are we all out of retard badges? drain the shit out in a clean container, start over with break in oil, keep track of how much you add. you dont use synthetic oil to break in a motor.

Due to the EPA emissions, ever since 2007, most "diesel" oils have very low levels of zddp.

I know at least two people who have failed cams in less than 500 miles form using Rotella to break in their engine.

High levels of zddp are mostly to aid break in of the cam and flat tappets.

Redline makes a "high zink" oil, and i think you can buy bottles of the additive to add to regular oil.
