Default Ken Sr B2

I have been working on this for awhile, 1989 ford bronco 2, 2.9 v6, 5 spd, 1350 t-case, Everyone I know has wheel with my Dad and his silver B2, the little rig is still going but is need of some TLC, so I started building this on my spare time.

The old B2, a 1987, 2.9 v6, 5 spd, 1350 t-case, 4" lift and 35" mt tires, Axles are stock with 4.10 gears and open front and welded rear, the only pic I have for now.

The new B2

The plans are building custom suspension front and rear, using a ford dana 44 front and rear 9", with 4.10 gears and lockers, tire are 37" Iroc's and building bead lock wheels.

Dana 44 is on and sitting on it's own weight, need to make the front shackles mount, bolt on shocks, trim some metal and switch the 8 lug to 5 lug, put brakes on, it is sitting on 35" tires.

What are you doing for steering? Looks like you are pushed forward a long ways.

Looking at a high steer arm for the right knuckle to put the drag link on and leave the tie rod alone, the axle is set up for a hydro assist already and the axle is forward like my explorer was with the leaf spring set up.

Looks like an interesting build. Am I crazy, or am I seeing more guys building up b2s? Anything make these better than a ranger or first gen exploder?

Easy to build, My 1st rig was a 1985 B2, than a 1988 Ranger, and than a 1993 Explorer and now building a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer.

Almost done, need to finish building the steering, the front shackles mount/winch mount, put the rear gears, locker and brakes to finish the 9" and trim some metal and build some bumpers and sliders.

More updates soon !
