Vintage boat thread

I'd like to see some other vintage boats that people have. I would say vintage if mid 80's or earlier?

I'll start out with mine:

1977 Ranger 1550 (150?) A
75hp Johnson stinger 2 stroke

Getting some major work this summer after I finish the truck. A buddy designs live well systems and other marine things, so we are going to redo all of the livewell, and I think rewire the whole boat. The gel coat is really faded, and the lids to the compartments need to be fixed or replaced.

Grandpa bought it new in 1978, dad got it in 1993, went into storage when we moved onto our lake. I got mad at him for letting it rot in there, so took it out after giving him crap. He said I could have it as long as I fixed it up and he could use it if he wanted.

That being said, here she is.

What it is like now, what it was like when I pulled it out, and most recent documented fish I caught.

My 1970 Starcraft, 1969 50hp merc.

Only difference from this pic is I removed the windshields for more room and better view of my new Humminbird. I have owned this about 6 years and has been awesome but with my girls getting older we are outgrowing this boat

Ha. Mine is only a 15.5' boat... can barely fish three. That is experienced casters too.

Is that the boat itself? Very cool if so. Post some pics!

1970 Starcraft w/65 Johnson rocking a faster windshield...

Loaded up to go in to our duck hunting camp...

The old man in his long underwear after washing his hands off the dock... My uncle's 1973 Starcraft is the closest one. It has a 50 Honda on it.

The boats??? Or the one piece red long underwear???

We need the big boats to get into our water access only hunt camp that faces Detour Mi. The waves are 4'+ consistently and we have 30 minute run to get to the nearest boat launch... We have a canoe and a small boat and permanent blinds wet up in the local area. As far as the long underwear... He is old, and might even wear them 10 months out of the year... After all, it is Canada... Hahaha

I was referring to the boats. Makes sense now

I hope he wears something over the long underwear when he's hunting.

There were 13 or 14 made. I'm not sure which one this is a picture of. I would take a picture of the boat itself, but It's currently in the middle of a full resto so it's not pretty.

I don't have photos right now, but mine is a 1957 Aerocraft M-12, with a 1957 Johnson 7.5. I am just about finished with the lower unit overhaul, and then it will be back on the water. Figured since the impellor was bad, I might as well replace all the lower seals while I had it apart.

Sold this Slick-Craft to someone on here last year. From what I hear he is making some progress on the restoration.

Maybe he can post some pictures.

I can help you out with this - 77 or 79 19' Baja deep v, small v berth in front, 325hp 460, through hull exhaust, Berkley jet drive. I'll make you a good deal as I have too many projects and just bought a project house.
