Remington 700 BDL value?

Just sold my AR, and that got me thinking about selling some of my other "safe queens" to make some more room and fund another project or two.

The rifle is a Remington 700 BDL SS DM chambered in .30-06...it has a 26" stainless barrel, factory synthetic stock, and since it is the DM model, it has the factory 5 round detachable magazine. It will come with a Leupold VX-2 4-12x40 AO scope with Leupold QRW steel rings, and Leupold magnetic scope caps. The round count is under 100, and it is in excellent condition. I lightened up the factory trigger slightly, it now breaks at 3 lbs 9 oz...which isn't extremely light by any means, but better than it was from the factory at 6lbs.

I'm just kicking around the idea of selling it since I rarely ever shoot it, but really don't know what these are fetching price wise these days... so what is a fair price for this setup?

A few pics...

I will pass, thanks for the offer though.

Just crunching some numbers here...

Remington no longer makes the BDL in the stainless/synthetic model...but the MSRP on the basic BDL is $985. Obviously you can find them for less than MSRP, and I have seen them for $750-850 for the blued/wood stock models online. Now add the scope ($479), rings ($75), scope caps ($80), and scope bases ($30), and that puts you around $1500.

Like I said, the condition on this one is excellent...less than 100 rounds down the pipe, probably less than 75. I figure asking $850 for this setup, which is 60% of what a new setup would cost is fair....yes, no?

$850 is an excellent starting point for it all.

That is very fair for that setup. I have a blued one with no scope listed for 600.
The biggest problem is the window to sell that gun is narrow. The serious deer hunters buy their guns Nov 14th . They are selling them any other time.
