They already have a program in place for people in rural areas where Internet is costly, so they offer a program to help reduce the cost.

I didn't know the innerwebz was a basic human right.

I understand making sure kids don't go hungry or without a home. I almost behind the gipper saying that folks should have the ability to call 911. But those phones should be limited to what they can call.

The only reason there should be a cell phone over wireless is if it has become cheaper to support than land lines.

My girlfriend volunteers for a mentoring program where she mentors a young homeless mom. She has told me stories of how this girl has 3 or 4 phones sitting on the table and she goes back and forth between them the whole time she has been there.

Yet, when she tried to get her phone number for contact information she told her she couldn't give it to her because she didn't have enough minutes.

Drug test welfare and scrap the phone and internet plans. I have to take a drug test AND go to work to afford a phone and internet at my home. Why the fukc should I pay for someone elses?

by law any cell phone can call 911 if it has service or not. what they should do is give them working phones that ppl have traded in (without a service provider)
Then if they dont have the money to activate it they can still call 911 and im sure if the cell phone companies donate the phones they would get a tax write off. win win win phone companies get tax write off, we dont have to pay for it, and lazy fucks can call 911

Then Shaniqua couldn't call Shanaynay to discuss what just happened on Judge Joe Brown.

Unless they dial 911 to have the dispatcher put them through to Shanaynay
