Default Wanted: 4l60e 2wd trans for 1995 2500 silverado

I have a 1995 2500 6 lug 2wd silverado with a 4l60e and need a new trans and torque converter.

I was told in another thread that I must get one from a 1995 because of a 1 year only 2-3 downshift or something along those lines.

Looking for something in decent shape near warren.

Won't work for me. From my research I've found that 1995 Non-PWM will only interchange with the 1995 Non-PWM, the 1995 PWM will only interchange with 1995-1997 PWM

I have the pwm so I need a 1995-1997 pwm

Your research is wrong. You can only use one from a 95.

I looked up my vin and my trans is pwm

Can you post information to prove this wrong?

Early 95 (same as 93-94) in wt models had non pwm but they are rare. You are correct about 95 up are all PWM, but you can only use a 95 because of the 3-2 downshift solenoid and computer programing. I couldn't care less if you don't believe me, because what do I know right? I'm just trying to help, Good luck with your search.
