Default 2004 F150 Window issue

I replaced the entire mechanism about a year and a half ago because the cable failed.

Today I rolled down my window for lunch without problems, after paying I went to roll it up and I got nothing.

Its a 2004 F150 super crew

I took the switch from the passengers door and tried to test the switch, but that would not work.

I put a test light on to see if I had power at the motor and I only have power when I go to roll window down and nothing when I go up.

So I jumped juice from the battery to get the window up and this indeed worked so I've got an issue from the switch to the motor.

Anyone ran into this problem before? Did I mention it was raining today?

Pass rear door in my super duty did the same thing, would go down but not up, I traced it to the main switch at the drivers door, I ended up simply unplugging the window motor so it wouldn't end up down on me. I would bet the main switch is bad on yours as well.

I got it working again by taking apart the switch and cleaning the contacts. So for its working, if it quits again, I'll replace the switch because it looked pretty burnt up but still cleaned up well.

A friend has an 07, and he has replaced the drivers switch panel 2x now. First time window would not work. Second time the drivers window switch got electrically stuck in the "auto" down position, it was summer and he didn't realize it, and burnt the regulator out of it. I have and 04 and have never had any trouble with mine...

I'm not sure but I think the first replacement was an eBay cheapo...
