chevy 208 sye

I have read alot of articles about using the dodge output shaft/case to make the chevy a fixed yolk. My dad is running a 208 chevy and needs to make it a fixed yolk, and i have a couple blown apart 208 fords is it possible to use the ford parts instead of the dodge? I seen a guy use both of the chevy cases and just redrill and tap the rear case to bolt the fixed yolk cone on it. i just dont know lol
