Anytime i hear some idiot rambling on about how great their truck is no matter the brand, i say "hey light duty, let me know when your truck can pull a 50,000 lb trailer up a 7% grade" they always look at me weird. I explain i drive a real truck. one made specifically for pulling heavy loads, and built to run a million miles trouble free. Granted you have the hater groups in the Heavy truck field too such as cummins, cat, and detroit diesel guys but really anything under 26,000 gvwr is light duty to me.

I bet you can move 80,000 lbs combined total weight down the road without emitting any black smoke. Crazy how that works huh? :)

You can, from the retards I've seen on the road, they let anybody become a truck driver.

There always has to be somebody that tries to one-up the light duty diesel truck discussion by saying they drive a semi. Understandable why they are looking you weird. You deserve to be looked at weird.

That's like two guys discussing which ATV is better then a guy coming in and saying he has an Ultra 4 car that can beat both of them. Okay..... good for you.

Those discussions are about as apples to oranges as it gets. But at least you took advantage of the opportunity to insert your irrelevant comment that makes you feel better than the other people. Congratulations.

That was kinda my point. No matter how badass your brand of truck is there is always something bigger or better that will do a better job. I don't see why guys who drive any of the big three's trucks think their particular brand is better than the competitors vehicles. they all have pros and cons. And people who trash talk on the others somehow think it makes their dick bigger.

"Bigger" does not mean does the job better. Daily driving a semi to work and the grocery store so I can tow with it once a month would be pretty retarded. Not to mention all the extra cost and fuel of towing with one. There is nothing on the road more suited to my needs than a "light duty" diesel pickup.

my superduty would be better with a cummins in it, hooked to a zf 5 spd. everything seems to break, have different issues. i had to put a motor in my truck at 182k becuase the previous owner i assume beat the crap out of it. somehow #8 cyl cracked and hydrolocked the motor. seems like a common 7.3 problem if the coolant is too acidic. eats away at the block. people that brag about how good this and that is irritate me. my truck ran a 16.01 at martin dragway lol it was supercool.

CAT is almost out of business in the aspect of heavy duty engine's, Cummin's never wants to pay for warranty work and are a pain in the butt considering they have to hold your hand all the way during the repair process (warranty or not) Detroit Diesel is the way to go. Just my 2 cents

detroit is not the way to go. kodiak seriously? awesome how you have a truck to pull loads with.i guess what? i do as well. i pull 60-65k almost daily. guess what. i dont give a shit. all i know is mack trucks suck balls. simple put.

who cares. ya my old cummins was built and it pulled like a rocket ship taking off.smoked like crazy and was a blast to drive. it pulled well and pushed snow awesome. great truck. snapped the billet out put shaft in the ats trans. so i guess it had to be super badass right. cummins are awesome motors but thats it. i have had great luck with both of my duramax's. they have to be the best trucks ever!

If you are referring to the one with a 12" stack coming out of the bed, yes. It is always parked outside a shit hole house near maybe/baldwin.

$40,000 truck parked outside of a $40,000 house

I was filling up at the speedway in clarkston about a month ago. I was sitting in my truck while the pump was running, he pulled into speedway, drove right up to my truck, and as he was rolling the window down he had to hold it with his hand because it was off track. He said "anything done to that? wanna run?"

How much did you win by? Were you pulling on him but had to hit the brakes because of traffic?
