I hate that you never know now, i see the reason for chamging them, just wish they did it faster, not over 10 years
Yep, pretty common in the Chicago area. I've gotten used to it.

Right, we should do a study to determine the priorities of issues so we can make sure we don't spend money on less important issues while there are more important issues to solve.

Oh for crying out loud. All of us here went through driver's ed & learned how to navigate a left turn signal. Is it really all that hard? Every intersection around our area is getting all new lights hung & in the meantime we are cutting our military to the bone.

So tell me all you experts, how many lives are going to be saved this year because of the light change & at what cost?

I'm glad you think that everyone in this country is as perfect a driver as you are. Heck if I were you I'd never have to worry about me or the other driver making a mistake while driving or being in a car without seatbelts or airbags.

What's your parents or wife or children's life worth to you, the price of a stoplight, or maybe less?

Highway funds come out of a different pot of money than military funds. Until we start dedicating gas taxes to be used solely on the military your argument doesn't fly.

Neither one has ever had an accident due to the way stoplights have always worked.

Funny, you care to respond to a general statement but you have not been able to tell me how many lives this will save us and at what cost.

Does it matter? With the amount of fucked up shit going on, you zone in on traffic lights?

No I don't have the figures, you can try the AASHTO website if you're that concerned, they might have an estimate. I'm more than happy to see the money being spent on the upgrades. Fact is there is an upgrade due on intersection where a good friend of mine got ran into a few months ago. If the upgrade would have been installed he would probably not be in rehab right now.

Feva, you make my point. With so much fucked up stuff, why is anyone worrying about traffic lights that everyone already understands.

Homer, sorry about your friend but blaming an accident on a traffic light is a lot like blaming gun violence on the gun.

That's kind of the point here isn't it? People are getting dumber and more distracted while driving every day. If that can somehow be mitigated through the use of improved traffic signals it's a win win for the rest of us that know how to concentrate on our driving.

I think it makes it worse. I see near misses all day long because ppl don't pay attention and think its going to change. I'm pretty sure someone is someones cousin making millions on these lights like kelly and his bit coins
