Default Stealership or customer?

I had some body work done on my F-250 at the dealer. I went to pick it up today and it started very hard, and misfired under load while attempting to exit the facility. They kept it yet another day and are working on it. I'm questioning who will be the responsible party when it is done. Me or them?

surely after doing body work it is their fault that the engine is having problems.

I forgot that vehicles these days never have any problems at all, big or small.

Probably a low battery voltage issue.

The longer a car is in the shop the more likely this is to happen.

There are many reasons for it, the main one being the car is started and driven only a short distance before shutting it off. Another being interior lights on with a door open while the vehicle is being worked on.

The winter a lot of batteries died from the cold and probably being an older battery too.

Probably just an old battery being pushed under the above conditions.

What body work was done?....Was the wiring disconnected, engine partially disassembled etc?

Hmmm, kinda like that "great customer" that brings in their Jeep Liberty for an air bag recall and now their radio doesn't work and expects the dealer to replace the radio. But they are a "great customer", even though the last time they were in was 2007 and that was for a recall too.

Coincidences do happen, in this case they suck for both parties involved.

Entered facility for front bumper and fender. Minor hood repair and paint. After work was completed it now starts hard and misses significantly. I'm just wondering if this falls on me or them.

I realize it is a coincidence. Just wondering how to handle it when I go back.

The gl4x4 jury would have a better idea on a verdict after you go back and see what actually was the problem.

I would agree. Could have bumped a wire or got something wet when they washed it. Stay tuned church
