Is it typical to break a ring gear rather than the axle shaft? I always thought that the weakness of the axle shafts and nuckles And secondly even though it is horrible to downgrade to two wheel drive but can I remove the ring gear and just drive it like that for a while till I can upgrade to dana 60's
