Default proposed Oxford ORV park facebook post

Just read this tonight on my FB account. via, GLFWDA :

https://www.facebook.com/pages/No-Ox...36830553032245

DO read DO NOT LIKE THIS POST,

I for one would love a park in this area,
and yes the proposed ORV park would 200-300 acres in size.

It doesn't appear that their page is going as well as they planned. All anti-park posts, all pro-park comments.

One item that stood out to me is that the anti-park folks had more people in attendance. Second is how the ORV community is viewed. I have always argued that needs to change, starting with TV commercials, right down to printed ads. I enjoy the sport but would have voted against the ORV portion of the park if I lived near.

You are correct in the image by why vote against it before any sound testing was done? That's just silly. The tests were meant to discern between trucks/jeeps & bikes to determine if any or all of a segment was louder than the current mining operation. Having a park that doesn't change the current tranquility of the woods & fields and you can't hear anything in there versus a housing project that adds 1000 homes & thousands of extra cars/ bikes/ hot rods, construction & landscape equipment is an indication of simple mindedness.

You mean the hobby not sport right? because driving around in a jeep/quad/bike/ect is a hobby not a sport
