It is the same story fromIonia county through Grand Rapids and into Lansing,

.17 and .40 available at some Wal mart stores and gander mountain, mostly high dollar

Meijer in many areas has 30-30, 30-06 .270 for around $20 per box.

I have personally not seen a .22LR or .223 cartridge in (2) Dunham (2) Gander mountain Meijer, Walmart in almost two months, I stop every Wendsday after work, and nothing.

It is a nation wide shortage, The government has bought two billion rounds of amunition in the last year, enought to perform the equivilent of the Iraq war for 27 years, The american public has back ordered 1.5 Billion rounds out for the next six months, their are news releases from most major manufacturers indicating their is a shortage or raw materials to make enough.

Obama's Economic Stimulous plan.

I understood the run on 5.56, 9 & .40 with all the scare over "assault weapons" but was a LOT surprised that .22LR was nowhere to be found. If anyone cares, the new Cabelas store in Saginaw had 1/2dz boxes of 6.5x55 left on the shelf when I left...

You guys need to work a little harder get creative. Last weekend I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm and 500 rounds of .223 . This was mail order from Gander mountain and Natches.
Its out there you just have to set up emails to receive up dates.

I've picked up a ton of 22lr, 9mm, 40cal, 45acp, 223 and 556 in the last two weeks. In stock and normal price at the stores I have been to. You just have to look harder and know what days the store puts out their new supplies.

No, the panic buying has NOT ended. People are still trying to buy as much ammunition that they can. We are getting plenty of ammunition but it only lasts hours instead of weeks that it would before this happened. We had over 230 boxes of 50ct, about 50 100ct, and thirty 250rd boxes come in of 9mm alone. Gone within 6 hours.

And the same for any other caliber. Were getting supplies that should last us weeks between decent shipments and its lasting hours. And we actually have people trying to buy as much ammunition as we let them just yo resell it. I have turned people away for that reason, and they get all pissed off and want to talk to my manager.
