Default Orange tip on barrel?

I was told today that all bb and pellet guns in Michigan need to have orange tips on the barrel. Is that true?

I can understand for toys and maybe airsoft.

I know you're new to the forum so I'm just letting you know that you posted this in the Firearms for Sale section.

If you scroll to the bottom of the forum listing there is a subforum for firearms topics called "The Great Outdoors."
